for most of life, i have been lucky. high metabolism coupled with a love for sports is a powerful combination to stave off flabbiness.

since i’ve began working, all my vices have taken a spike in the proverbial statistics department. add that to my chronic laziness, another lethal dose to cause cellulite city to grow.

now i’m making a move on the beginnings of a spare tyre, as we all know its easiest to nip in the bud. i’ve been running for two days straight, and nothing has changed with regards to the landscape of my belly. now i know this is going to take some work.

and i really ought to do something about the puffing.

officially 25. as the numbers increase, we grow wiser. whereas in women they always remain a certain age(18, 21, etc. pfft thats why they’re always in denial). wiser because we learn from mistakes as well as those others make.

i had a thought, which is regrets, are the most powerful from which we learn. because it cuts deep enough into your being, that the episode sears in your memory.

today, i had writing class. professional writing… i think. i am increasingly concerned at my aptitude for writing. it’s causing me to beliebe that my language is in fact, horrible. it’s going to take some time to get that shattered confidence/ego back.

in life, we have so many connectors. without of which we’d never be able to make the cross to the other side. think about it.

traveling? forgot your universal adapter? how many times have you gone around frantically asking for one. i know i have. ran a 100m dash to the bus stop, only to miss the bus by a mere frantic wave as it blows monoxide in your face? thats why i walk to the train station now. and the mop, lets not forget the mop. without the mop you’d be on all fours with a cloth and will have to face the wrath of aches.

now, wednesdays. wednesdays are the noblest connectors of all. wednesdays brief relief, that there are only 2 more days to the weekend. to best ensure wednesday’s respite is fully utilized, take a MC, leave, disappear. so you’ve a day free before returning to 2 days of work, and the weekend beckons. i know it makes me feel better.

it’s an hour into wednesday!

Yet one of them if you… topics. I shouldn’t complain, it gives me something to think about. Don’t the scientists always say, you need theories before coming up with formulas? Let’s leave it at that from now on.

To be gifted a choice, purely for my own selfish intentions, I know immediately where I want to be headed.

Africa. Since I am an atheist, to my knowledge Africa, is the birth of Mankind. The earliest origins of humans were found in this continent. The flora and fauna there, would be one of a kind. See the things we would normally see on TV.

I’m a photography buff. Landing there would be a dream for anyone. The breathtaking(probably) landscape, the majesty of herds galloping or simply the sunset against the plains. It would make enough postcards for a lifetime!

The cause I’m looking at, is the preservation of nature. The intertwined qualities of elegance and brutality in the animal kingdom cannot be duplicated anywhere else. In the stark and raw power of what evolution has come up with.

You may talk of life on other planets, but I’ll believe it when I can see it. By then I’ll probably be too creaky to be traveling there.

though at the very least, I hope to have you, creaking right beside me.
